Is there no “good news” anymore??? Ok so we’ve had the Global Financial Crisis. I understand that. Then we had the floods up north and the bushfires down south. Tragedies also. But the Swine Flu as a pandemic??? Oh please can we have some sanity here I looked up my dictionary to clarify the word and it’s made up from the Greek word pandemos, which is a combination of pan “all” and demos “people”. The definition is “prevalent across a whole country or world”. Now I’m sorry but the swine flu was not and is not a pandemic. It appears that the media is making up the news to create bad news. So let’s fight back The newspaper laugh is a hahademic, which is made up from haha “laughteryoga” demic “people”…hey that’s us ! ! ! So my answer is to balance the bad news with the good news. So pick up the newspaper with the bad news in it. Hold it up, and rip it up. Come on eeeeh, eeeeh, eeeeh, ha ha ha ha ha. There there’s the answer to all the bad news Mental Health on the rise…The Australian 4th May In a front page article it was noted that mental illness claims have increases by 40% in the last two months and rising. This is mainly due to people being retrenched or in fear of losing their jobs. This creates great emotional trauma for which they are seeking medical assistance. Surely that’s a job for us again don’t you think? I was talking with my Laughteryoga friend Sebastien from Los Angeles today and he put me onto a GRRREAT idea. What you do is get a wristband and put it on your right arm. When you have a negative thought you transfer it to your left arm until you have a positive thought. At that point you transfer it back to the right arm and then go on with whatever it was you were doing. It’s all about cognitive learning along with positive reinforcement. Try it sometime. It really works Why not visit someone in Hospital Just recently I heard of a person who had been admitted to hospital. I’d never met them before but thought I’d pay them a visit. As they are quite a well-known celebrity I thought I’d get thrown out if I even got in. I’ve been several times now and we are becoming great friends. We always laugh. While I’m there I visit a few other people I don’t know also and we laugh too. Why not try it next time you’re passing a hospital. It will work wonders for you both The 2009 flier is attached…at last And finally I have the details of all the events for the Good Doctor for 2009.
